From Distant to Time – Improve your Running through Proper Nutrition

I have been working with Megan Casey at Max Muscle South Metro for about two months. She developed a nutrition plan for me. I’m a marathon runner and a rookie triathlete. When I first met with Megan I wasn’t running very well and was suffering from fatigue. The runs were feeling much harder than they should and overall fitness felt horrible even though I was completing all my workouts.

Megan took the time to listen to how I was feeling and we set some specific goals together. I wrote down what and when I ate in a typical day and she made some significant changes in my diet. The nutrition plan was very easy to follow and there is plenty of variety. I started to notice a change about two weeks into the plan. The runs started feeling better and I started to feel like an athlete again. Megan was very encouraging and checked in with me weekly. This helped me stay focused. Whenever I had any questions about altering the diet, she always responded quickly with the appropriate suggestions.

This is the change that I needed to improve my overall fitness – dropping my body fat by 8% and by a minute per mile in my half AND full marathons. Megan has taught me how to look at food differently and how important it is to fuel our bodies correctly. Thanks Megan……looking forward to a great fall marathon because of your help.
