I was born and raised in Lincoln Nebraska. I graduated from Lincoln East and followed that attending UNL.
Growing up I played all sports. I was a chubby kid growing up so I was never a "stand out" athlete, nor was I an impressively smart kid. My brother was always the more naturally talented athlete, as well as more intelligent than myself.
I always felt I was in my brother's shadow. I credit that a lot to the hard worker I became and still am today. I worked hard in school and was in "gifted" classes 5th grade through High School. At the end of my freshman year, I was a average JV hockey player.
It was then I started getting into nutrition and exercise. My sophmore year, I was top 20 scorer in the Iowa High School Hockey League (now the Midwest Hockey League), and voted 'Best Offensive Player' and 'Most Valuable Player' of the team.
It has been a never ending journey for me from then. I love nutrition and fitness. It is an understatement to call it a passion of mine and there is not much more rewarding than helping someone reach their goals.
